This is a pristine 1992 Rawlings Heart of the Hide, manufactured during the peak of the legendary Ava, Missouri era. Unlike most Heart of the Hide gloves that feature a tan deer-tanned liner, this rare PRO-8 features the heavy-duty black steerhide lining. This was a premium choice for the Heart of the Hide Series, offering superior durability against moisture and salt-wear compared to traditional tan liners. It provides a dense, professional "locked-in" feel that is impossible to find in modern mass-produced gloves. CONDITION REPORT: MINT / UNUSED.

STIFFNESS: The leather is still very stiff. Especially in the thumb and pinky areas. It has NOT been fully broken in, steamed, or pancaked.

It stands upright on its own and holds its professional silhouette perfectly. This glove is basically a blank canvas for you to break in however best suits you. FOIL STAMPS: The 24k Gold Foil stamps (HOH Bull, Gold Glove Series, and PRO-8 identifiers) are incredibly crisp and vibrant-a total rarity for a 34-year-old baseball glove. SCENT: It still has that distinct, rich "New Glove" aroma of a fresh Heart of the Hide glove. PRESERVATION: I used a very small amount of Wilson Pro Stock glove conditioner (Lanolin/Vitamin E) to ensure the leather stays perfect for the next 30 years.

This is my personal favorite glove conditioner, as it leaves gloves hydrated without adding weight like other oils and conditioners do. This is a very rare find for this condition, especially the inner palm lining.
